Things are not always what they seem
July 24th, 2012
Once in a while here in the office there are moments where
I just want to jump up and down and shout “Yahoo!” to the
heavens. I had one of those moments yesterday and thought
that you could benefit if I shared it with you. I was on a
telephone consultation yesterday, walking a client through
his online business and we were reviewing a number of areas
where he could make progress…
One area in particular though, one that may surprise you, is
an area we hadn’t even planned on working originally.
Yet, it was the most important key to his success in his
online business. Here’s how things unfolded…
This gentleman had signed up for the Personal Website
Analysis and 12 Month Profit Plan, and much to the surprise
of both of us, we spent only 10% on his website itself.
Instead, there were much bigger fish to fry.
First, we started with an analysis of where he was right
now. After all, “you is where you is”. And so we talked
about where he was, and where he wanted to be in 12 months
from now.
Next, we talked about how his business was currently
operating, and what was selling, what was not selling, and
most importantly, we began to define ways that he could grow
his business on hyper speed in the next 30 days or less.
Then things started to get really good. We talked about and
specifically defined a winning sales funnel for him.
Everything from his free gifts, to his lower end offerings,
and most importantly – how to vividly tell the story of how
he’s helped his customers achieve their goals, so that his
audience could easily identify how they could benefit from
working with him…
…and then I showed him how to use a powerful, secret sales
technique to leverage his website to close more sales over
the phone than he knew was possible. By this time, we were
both getting pretty excited and the phone was buzzing.
After tying all of these pieces together, including specific
actions to take to implement these powerful marketing
strategies, we finally talked about his website.
Pretty funny, right?
The truth is, that your Website is a very important part of your
sales process – perhaps the most important. However if you’ve
not spent time defining and unlocking the value that you bring
to the table, then you haven’t yet created the foundation to
build your Internet Sales Stampede…
Things are not always what they seem. Those who are doing
well with their online business make it look easy. What you
don’t see is all the work they did behind the scenes, all
the previous missed shots, and all the time they spent
getting their foundation in place.
The good news is that through the Personal Website Analysis
and 12 Month Profit Plan, you can avoid most of this hard
work, and achieve your goals of running a highly profitable
online business faster than ever before.
