Why Tim Tebow’s A Winner
January 10th, 2012. Filed Under: Internet Business Tips, entrepreneurship. Tags: Denver Broncos, pittsburgh steelers, Tim Tebow, winning
On Sunday night my dad called me from Ohio bursting with
excitement right after the Denver Broncos had won their
first playoff game in 6 years, and done it in spectacular
fashion.
The game was really close at the end and went into overtime.
Within 11 seconds, Tim Tebow’s Broncos won the game with
a pass over the middle and an 80 yard touchdown scamper
into the south stands of Mile High stadium.
The place burst into a roar and was shaking with excitement
and most of the world was stunned yet again by this
Tim Tebow guy.
A few weeks ago after a game, I got a simple text from a
friend of mine. All it said was, “Tebow’s a winner.”
And that’s the truth.
Tebow’s a winner because he has the mindset of a winner,
and he takes the actions of a winner.
And they’re all actions that you can take too and directly
affect your business and make it a massive success.
First of all, Tebow is enthusiastic. When you see him
starting a game, or pumping up his teamates, you can tell
that a fire burns in him.
A fire of enthusiasm has to burn in you too, in order to
keep people interested in your message and for you to be
able to push through the tough spots that inevitably
show up.
The first person who has to believe in what you have to say
is YOU…and then you can get others aboard.
Tebow’s work ethic is legendary. The guy was doing extra
sprints around the field after practice from the day he
showed up in the NFL. The other players made fun of them.
Those players aren’t around any more.
It’s the same in your business. The one thing we all have
is the same amount of is time. Use your time wisely, and
have a healthy work ethic towards your goals…
and 2012 is going to be a game changer.
Then there’s the short memory. Tebow had three really – and
I’m talking – really bad games. The guy looked like an
amateur out there. But he put it behind himself, had a
short memory, forgot about the bad games and focused forward
and had a great game.
It’s important to do the same thing in your business.
Recently there was a terrible economy.
That was then. This is now. Focus forward and get moving,
and good things happen fast.
Finally there’s Tebow’s mission. Tim Tebow views football
as a platform for something bigger than himself.
He’s always using his fame to talk about his charity work
or another cause. This too is something to apply in your
business.
After all, what is a business? Yes, it serves your
customers. But ultimately it exists to serve you, the
business owner.
And you might have causes that you believe in, a family you
want to support, or dreams to accomplish. And the mission
of your business is to make that stuff happen.
There are a number of ways I support successful
entreprenuers like you to use the Internet every day to
create the success they deserve, no matter where you
are in the business cycle.
Step your game up in 2012 and get support on your way to
the top:

Resolutions are for ninny muggins
December 27th, 2011. Filed Under: Business Tips, entrepreneurship. Tags: 2012, North Pole, Real Goals, Wally
Our family just got done watching “Elf” the Will Farrell movie
where he grows up in the North Pole but nobody tells him he’s
a human, not an elf.
When he finally decides to leave the North Pole to mix with the
humans he is obviously way out of his element, and definitely very
naïve to the ways of the world.
At one point in the movie, he remembers back in the old days
when somebody insulted him, and they called him a “cotton
headed ninny muggins”.
Not sure what that word means, but it sounds pretty mean for an elf.
This time of year a lot of people always talk about new years
resolutions, and I think that they’re ridiculous. If you’ve ever
been a “gym rat”, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Back in my gym rat days, I noticed in late December, you’re in the
gym working out and the place is practically empty. Everyone is
either fattening up on food or off on vacation somewhere.
Then the bell rings and January 1st comes along and the place is
packed. You’re waiting for machines, you’re waiting for a pad to
do some situps on…the list goes on.
This is just one example. But as far as I’m concerned, resolutions
are for ninny muggins.
Here’s why. A resolution doesn’t have any power behind it.
A resolution is almost like a passive “man, I wish I could
accomplish that…sigh.”
The proof of this is in the pudding – how many people do you know
who actually kept their resolutions? That’s what I thought.
That’s why the gym is empty come next December.
So I say toss out the resolutions. Be done with the way of the
ninny muggins.
Set GOALS.
Real Goals. Something that you can measure and that can excite
and charge you up.
Be careful to make them realistic. But don’t be afraid to stretch
either.
Goals excite you. Goals charge you up. Goals can be imported
into your brain as future memories so that you are moving towards
them even when you sleep.
Goals are truly powerful and are what seperates champions from also
rans. Resolutions are for the ninny muggins of the world.
Goals are for the winners, and that’s why you’re here.
Be a winner in 2012. This will get you there faster:

Nature Always Balances
December 22nd, 2011. Filed Under: Business, entrepreneurship. Tags: 2012, balance, rebirth, solstice
Last weekend I headed up to Aspen, Colorado to join some friends
of mine in a ski trip to celebrate, well, our existence!
Now that I’m back and wrapping things up in the office, I looked
up at my vision board and saw a reminder that I placed on there a
couple years ago. It says, “Nature always balances.”
I always enjoy the chance to go out into nature and slow things down. Especially this time of year, when nature itself is slowing everything down…even though if you’re not careful, those around you will try and speed everything up.
It’s important to take some time and get in touch with the natural
rhythm of things. After all, this is a time of year for reflection,
for turning inward, and for giving thanks. It’s also a time when
things get balanced out again.
The winter solstice is the day with the least amount of light
(in our northern hemisphere) and it represents a day of closure,
and then of rebirth.
That’s really when next year begins…when the days start getting
longer.
So as things are winding down for the year, I encourage you to
look back on 2011, and list off your lessons learned, your goals
accomplished, and pat yourself on the back.
And then do an honest assessment of some goals that you didn’t
accomplish, and some things that you missed the mark on.
Finally, set some strong goals and intentions for 2012.
This is a time for reflection and then rebirth into the next year.
I look forward to helping YOU grow in 2012.

Steal this book
November 17th, 2011. Filed Under: Internet Success, entrepreneurship. Tags: STOLEN, Wally
A couple of weeks ago I was at a marketing conference in chilly
Atlanta, and instead of hanging out in a nice hotel room we were
put outside in a giant tent.
You could think of it as a giant circus, or maybe a nice reception.
Either way, folks were bundled up and staying warm and enjoying
some incredible content on how to take their business to the
next level.
While I was there, I was giving a select few people a sneak
peek at my book, 21 Ways To Create A Sales Stampede On The
Internet, and one lady in particular was really excited to
get her copy.
She thanked me a couple of times and went on her way.
Then the next day I saw her again at breakfast, and she wasn’t
nearly as happy.
She was really bummed out. I wondered why.
It turns out that her book was STOLEN from her while she wasn’t
looking. Somebody at her table had sticky fingers and
grabbed a copy while she wasn’t looking…and I had to go
searching for another one to make it up to her.
Luckily she got the last one before I left.
Now I’m not surprised that people were stealing this book.
After all, I’ve seen the look on people’s faces after they open
it and read the first few paragraphs. It’s something that sticks
with you and changes you for life.

The Hidden Truth Behind Occupy Wall Street
October 21st, 2011. Filed Under: Special Occasion, entrepreneurship. Tags: Bonus Army, Occupy Wall, Occupy Wall Street, Washington DC
There’s been a lot of talk in the news lately about Occupy Wall
Street, the protest movement that suddenly went global last
weekend, and it’s turning out to be a pretty big deal in some
circles.
Count me as one of the few people who weren’t very surprised to
hear of this type of protest coming down the pike. After all,
when you look back in history, any time that unemployment stays
pretty high for a long time, people get antsy and start to try and
create their own solutions.
Look at the “Bonus Army” protests that were setup in the 1930s -
really just a bunch of tent cities that were setup outside of the
capital in Washington DC by unemployed veterans until our own army
had to come down and clean out the mess. Sounds a lot like today
actually.
The part that the media isn’t telling you though is the most
important part though, and that’s what I wanted to talk with you
about today.
The truth behind Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party, and all the
other uproar that is going on is that it is simply part of the
changing of the seasons. Not the seasons of Summer into Autumn,
but the seasons of history. Some time ago there was a book
written about this that I highly recommend you check out called
the Fourth Turning”.
In that book, it explains how American history goes through 4
seasons that continue to repeat themselves and have done so
throughout our entire history…and even though it was written
over 10 years ago, it basically predicted all that is happening now.
We’re simply going through another turning of the page in history,
and you have a big choice on your hands. You can either ignore
it, fight it, and hope it goes away…or you can embrace the
changes that are taking place and look to benefit from them.
If you think about it, even during the depths of the Great
Depression people who were successful. Life didn’t just stop, and
it’s not just stopping right now…just as in those times, there
are choices to be made on whether you want to win or lose. And
the winners of any era have a common theme – they understand
what’s happening around them and they take appropriate action.
From the uprisings going on in the Arab Spring, to these new
uprisings, and the ones happening all over – the common
denominator is that there is a turning of the pages of history and
it’s all driven by the conversation happening online. Those who
lead the conversation for the positive are the ones who will
create the changes in the world.
And those people are you. The entrepreneur. The entrepreneur who
creates value, and uses the Internet to get his message out to the
most people and who can get his life changing products and
services into the hands of the most people are the ones who are
really going to be the winners here.
So you have a choice. Are you going to be the entrepreneur who
makes these changes happen, and prosper along the way? Or are you
going to sit back and let the tides of history go along wherever
they go and hope that you are part of the conversation?
In my book 21 Ways To Create A Sales Stampede On The Internet
you’ll find ways to ensure that you not only are an integral part
of the turning point that we are experiencing in history, but
you’ll ensure that you create a ton of prosperity along the way.
Claim your spot in history today:

PS – A mentor of mine used to say, “History doesn’t repeat
itself…history resembles itself.” And those are words to live
by, because if we know how the path went as it got us here, then
we can choose to create our own path forward. Here’s how you can
create your own path forward:

We have lost a Giant
October 7th, 2011. Filed Under: entrepreneurship. Tags: appreciation, steve jobs
Two days ago in the afternoon I logged into Facebook and started seeing
a bunch of variations on the same message: Steve Jobs, the founder of
Apple, had passed away.
Immediately I went to Apple.com and saw his picture and started to well
up with tears.
I really couldn’t believe what I was seeing and feeling – here was the
passing away of the most important business leader in the last 30
years and I was looking at his picture on a computer screen, crying.
And that’s when it struck me.
Steve Jobs’ greatest accomplishment was in pushing everyone around
him to the next level so that the computers, the machines that we
interact with – become a tool in the service of human creativity.
Because of Steve Jobs’ vision, we can talk face to face on a small
screen held in our hand – or carry a library’s worth of information
on a small slab the size of a pad of paper – and somehow the
experience feels organic and real…the fact that there’s a machine
called a computer involved doesn’t even register.
That’s the real legacy of this amazing man, who has created the world
we live in, and is very much responsible for you and I communicating
and sharing over this medium – heart to heart – even though we
physically may never meet in person.
To extend human creativity and give us more tools to create from
beauty and passion, that is what Steve Jobs gave to us, and I hope
you’ll join me in being forever grateful to this amazing man for
having the guts to push himself and those around him to fulfill
the vision that he had for computers, for experience, and for
humanity.
Thanks Steve.
-Wally
PS – “You have to trust in something. Your gut. Destiny. Life.
Karma. Whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down
the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when
it leads you off the well worn path. And that will make all the
difference.” – Steve Jobs
Who to listen to and who to ignore
September 19th, 2011. Filed Under: Internet Success, entrepreneurship. Tags: coaching, internet sales success, personal growth, success, success tips
On the surface, today’s message might seem a little harsh. But today’s message is super important if you want to leave behind the dark shackles of previous failure, and step into the sunshine of success.
In business, there are only two types of advice you will receive.
The stuff you listen to. And the stuff you ignore.
And let me tell you, the stuff you should ignore is a much longer list than the stuff you should listen to.
Here’s how one of my mentors put it:
Ignore friends. Ignore family. Ignore teachers. They are all well meaning.
When it comes to success, you must listen only to people who are more successful than you are. Those who have been there, and done that. That’s it.
Now, you might not be comfortable with that. Let me assure you, that is a good sign. We have to stretch and be uncomfortable to become more successful.
Here’s another truth:
Everybody WANTS to be successful.
Nobody wants to be a failure. At least not according to their talk. But talk is cheap. Action speaks volumes.
I’m not messing around today.
Here’s the truth. Getting what you deserve takes work.
Getting what you deserve takes practice.
Getting what you deserve takes sacrifice. And it takes discipline.
Sometimes it is uncomfortable. No, often times it is uncomfortable. But it is always worth it.
To be successful in an area where you are not currently, it also takes humility. Humility to admit that you can be helped by the right information, that the right information will come at a price, and most importantly – that it will increase your success.
In my business life, I only listen to people who have been there, and done that. And I’m not afraid to invest in my own development with people who have been there, and done that, because it always pays off in multiples. And because I want the best for you, I want you to do the same.
That’s why today I’m offering you a chance to join the Internet Sales Success coaching program.
Because I’ve been there, and done that. And now I’m running a business that lets me live wherever I want and live the life that I could only dream of for so many years. You can do it too.
All you have to do to get the success YOU deserve is follow in my footsteps:

It’s easier than you think, once you listen to the right people.
To getting the success you deserve,

P.S. – Walking the walk is tough sometimes, especially if you’re surrounded by failures. Ignore the failures, and listen to those who can help. Only those who have been there and done that can help. Start your day with some bourbon and a rubdown
July 1st, 2011. Filed Under: Business, Internet Marketing, entrepreneurship. Tags: Business, entrepreneurship, harry s truman, independence, Independence Day, internet marketing success, internet sales success
In just a few days we here the USA will be celebrating
Independence Day, one of my absolute favorite holidays.
It’s a great holiday for so many reasons – the fireworks, the
mid-summer family and friends, the cookouts – but the most
important to me is the spirit of liberty.
Every year I make it a point to read the first part of the
Declaration of Independence, and remind myself of the spirit
behind this great nation and more importantly the spirit of
individual liberty and personal sovereignty that it represents.
Being an entrepreneur, it is important to return to the roots
sometimes and give thanks for those who came before us. After
all, none of us succeeds alone, even though when you’re running
a business it can often feel that way.
One of my favorite guys who came before us and is a great leader
was Harry S Truman. Harry came from humble beginnings in
Independence, Missouri and worked his way through an incredibly
powerful and corrupt political machine – yet somehow kept his
nose and hands clean through the whole thing. In fact, many
years after he’d made it to the presidency, someone noted that
the best proof that he wasn’t corrupt was that he was still poor.
By then, his old political co-horts were all in jail or ruined
from their corruption. But that’s a story for another time.
Harry arrived in the White House upon his predecessor’s passing
and promptly had to wind down the biggest war the world had ever
seen. He had to make tough calls like whether to invande Japan
or use a nuclear bomb. And he had to be a quick study.
To stay sharp, Harry started his day like this:
First, he’d wake up and take a brisk walk. He’d get the juices
flowing and if the reporters could keep up with his fast
pace…they were allowed to ask him questions.
Then, after starting his day and getting his thoughts in order,
he’d grab a shot of whiskey to warm the belly.
Finally, he’d get a quick massage, and get moving with the
business of the day.
This is a little different than how I begin my own days, but
there are a lot of lessons to be learned from old Harry. This
is the guy who had the sign that read “The Buck Stops here” on
his desk.
There are a lot of similarities with being in business.
To be successful, you have to be a lot like Harry S Truman.
Whiskey or not, you have to have the fire in your belly.
You have to make tough calls all the time, and you have to be a
quick study.
Most importantly, you have to realize that with you, the buck
stops here.
At the end of the day, your success as a business person and the
heights you reach are up to you. And that’s the beauty of
independence.
Enjoy your weekend,
-Wally
