Yesterday I had a great conversation with a guy
who went from being at the top of his profession
as a surgeon to being depressed and sleeping all
day, all in a span of a couple of months.

A tragic turn in his life took him from having the
world as his oyster to being out of luck, out of
work, and not sure of what to do with his life.

Through smarts, persistence, and taking massive
action, he was able to reinvent himself and become
very successful in his information publishing
business.

You have it in yourself to do the same. Each of
us has amazing stories, and are constantly
reinventing ourselves.

It comes as no surprise to me that so many of the
people who I talk with every day have similar stories.

Something happens where you’re starting from where
you don’t want to be. Then a lightbulb comes on.

It’s almost like a voice in your head says, “If it’s
to be…it’s up to me.”

And when that voice speaks, it’s time to listen.

It also comes as no surprise to me that many of the
most successful marketers on the Internet already
have a copy of 21 Ways To Create A Sales Stampede On
The Internet in their hands.

One thing these champions of marketing and business
share is this. The continuing investment in their
knowledge and skills.

Because with the right knowledge, the right action
can be taken which will get you to where you want to
be.

Back when I was sitting in an office surrounded by
corporate drones, I had a similar epiphany. And
then I met a guy who changed everything for me.

Here’s the story:
http://internetsalesstampede.com/

PS – Assume you are competing with another
entrepreneur. Each of you needs a constant flow
of new customers to survive. Especially in these tough
times. But he has a copy of 21 Ways To Create A Sales
Stampede On The Internet. Is there any doubt as to
who would win the battle in competing for customers?
(Those who watch this video will win…)

A few years ago I went to a high powered marketing seminar,
where we talked in depth about “the king”.

When you mastered the art of performing the exercise of
“the king” you were able to simply write a few lines,
tell a few jokes, and then rake in money almost at the
push of a button.

Then things changed. “The king” died. Or so it seemed.

If you haven’t realized it, “the king” is email marketing.

Deliverability rates of email went down. Spam filters
went up. The world became busier and noisier. Social media
competed for attention.

And now many folks, each year in and out, proclaim that
“email marketing is dead”. Maybe you’ve believed this too.

Allow me let you in on something…

Yesterday I had a long productive talk with a friend of mine
who specializes in creating email marketing campaigns for
everyone from busy CEOs to small businesses.

And during our conversation, we were laughing about all the
people who claim each and every year that “the king is dead”.

Because neither of our experience, or that of our customers
shows that to be true.

At one point in our conversation I became really animated
and excited jumping up and down because while she was
making some points about email marketing, it was as if she
had been reading straight from page 41 of 21 Ways To Create
A Sales Stampede On The Internet.

Without knowing it, she had stumbled upon what I call
“the most important secret to your long term success” and
it had me really excited.

I told her that I consider myself to be an “evangelical
entrepreneur” and that I get really revved up when I hear
people using strategies that are known to work, and then
hear of their success with them.

It’s exciting to hear these success stories in contrast
to what you hear in the so-called media.

Today I invite you to join us and discover the most
important secret to your long term success.

Spend a few minutes watching this video I’ve created for
you:
http://internetsalesstampede.com/

The king is not dead. The king is alive and well.
And when you take action and put these strategies into
place, you’ll be the beneficiary of knowing what really
works and what is simply noise.

Reach for the top,
-Wally

PS – Sometimes there’s too much noise and not enough signal.
Once you cut through the noise you just have to know how
to put the pieces together. Let me show you how I
discovered what works and what really doesn’t with your
online marketing:

http://internetsalesstampede.com/

On Sunday night my dad called me from Ohio bursting with
excitement right after the Denver Broncos had won their
first playoff game in 6 years, and done it in spectacular
fashion.

The game was really close at the end and went into overtime.

Within 11 seconds, Tim Tebow’s Broncos won the game with
a pass over the middle and an 80 yard touchdown scamper
into the south stands of Mile High stadium.

The place burst into a roar and was shaking with excitement
and most of the world was stunned yet again by this
Tim Tebow guy.

A few weeks ago after a game, I got a simple text from a
friend of mine. All it said was, “Tebow’s a winner.”

And that’s the truth.

Tebow’s a winner because he has the mindset of a winner,
and he takes the actions of a winner.

And they’re all actions that you can take too and directly
affect your business and make it a massive success.

First of all, Tebow is enthusiastic. When you see him
starting a game, or pumping up his teamates, you can tell
that a fire burns in him.

A fire of enthusiasm has to burn in you too, in order to
keep people interested in your message and for you to be
able to push through the tough spots that inevitably
show up.

The first person who has to believe in what you have to say
is YOU…and then you can get others aboard.

Tebow’s work ethic is legendary. The guy was doing extra
sprints around the field after practice from the day he
showed up in the NFL. The other players made fun of them.

Those players aren’t around any more.

It’s the same in your business. The one thing we all have
is the same amount of is time. Use your time wisely, and
have a healthy work ethic towards your goals…
and 2012 is going to be a game changer.

Then there’s the short memory. Tebow had three really – and
I’m talking – really bad games. The guy looked like an
amateur out there. But he put it behind himself, had a
short memory, forgot about the bad games and focused forward
and had a great game.

It’s important to do the same thing in your business.

Recently there was a terrible economy.

That was then. This is now. Focus forward and get moving,
and good things happen fast.

Finally there’s Tebow’s mission. Tim Tebow views football
as a platform for something bigger than himself.

He’s always using his fame to talk about his charity work
or another cause. This too is something to apply in your
business.

After all, what is a business? Yes, it serves your
customers. But ultimately it exists to serve you, the
business owner.

And you might have causes that you believe in, a family you
want to support, or dreams to accomplish. And the mission
of your business is to make that stuff happen.

There are a number of ways I support successful
entreprenuers like you to use the Internet every day to
create the success they deserve, no matter where you
are in the business cycle.

Step your game up in 2012 and get support on your way to
the top:
http://wallythewebguy.com/services/

Reach for the top,
-Wally

PS – Before the last game where Tebow really shined, he was
challenged to “step up”. If you’re ready to take your game
to a whole new level and step up in 2012, this is for you:

Today marks the first day that we’ve sent our daughter to
school…or maybe it’s day care at her age. It’s a big
milestone for her in her short life – but it’s a new year
and it’s time for everyone to stretch a bit to grow.

When you look outside of the classroom, there are lots of
places to play, including a sandbox.

It reminded me of a story that one of my customers wrote me
with… about the Google sandbox. When you are in the Google
sandbox, it really means that they’ve used a nice word saying
that Google has kicked you out of the playground.

It happens to people who don’t understand SEO and how to use
it properly. And it’s a terrible thing to have happen
because then you are invisible to the Internet.

Here’s her story…

“We had just rolled out a great new site design, and we were
really excited about all the traffic that was going to come
and see it.

Only there was one problem – Google had stopped indexing us!

We had tried to search optimize our site, and Google thought
we were spammers. We tried for months and couldn’t figure
out what was happening to our site.

Luckily, we knew there was one guy out there who could help
us. Our good buddy Jason Waldron – “Wally the Web Guy”.

We gave him a call.

After following his recommendations, Google was indexing us
within a week, the traffic started flowing in. We haven’t
looked back since!”

Vallene Mros
Graphic Designer

It’s easy to make sure that you’re out of the sandbox and
in front of your customers where they are looking for you
right now. Simply take action and get positioned in the
Real Time Web with the Traffic Driving Strategy and
-Wally

PS – The key to your success on the web is having large
amounts of qualified traffic. But with all of these new
sources of traffic showing up every day, how can a busy
business owner know where to focus his or her efforts?
Easy…claim your own spot in line with the Traffic Driving

It’s not quite the new year yet…

…but I wanted to get you my fearless predictions
as soon as possible so you can start moving on them
before anybody else does.

From where I sit “behind the scenes” I’ve seen some
really big changes this year. One of the biggest changes
is how the game has changed for selling high priced
items over the Internet.

Time was when you could put up a quality sales letter
or even a video sales letter and convert people at a
2 to 3% rate. And you can still do that for lower priced
items.

For the higher priced stuff – the really big ticket items
that you can really build your business around – the
game has changed. (I’ll tell you more about that in
a minute…)

With all the moving parts going on in your business,
there are four areas that are changing quickly that you
absolutely should know about so that you’re on top
of the game going into the turning point year of 2012.

First, if you don’t have a Wordpress component
to your Website, you’re probably missing out on the
ease of use, the free traffic, and the other many benefits
of using the Wordpress platform. But you also have to make
sure to keep your site backed up so that you are protected
from hackers and other threats. Here’s how you can.

Next, whether you’re dipping your toe in the water and
adding an online component to your marketing, or you’re
an experienced marketer who is continuing to build on
your past successes, you want to make sure you have a
copy of 21 Ways To Create A Sales Stampede On The Internet
in your success library.

Third, traffic to your website is king, like always.
Traditional businesses who are smart will be investing heavily
in their Local Search Engine Optimization to get the free,
measurable traffic from Google rather than the expensive,
unmeasured Yellow Pages traffic of years past.

And online businesses who are tired of overpaying for Facebook
and Google Adwords Pay Per Click will be smartly looking at
generating free traffic through the high ROI of Search Engine
Optimization and other channels. Ranking at the top of Google
is still very much in style going into 2012.

Finally, for the higher priced stuff – the really big ticket items
that you can really build your business around – the
game has changed completely. No longer will an automated
video sales letter work to sell that high ticket item.

Smart marketers are really working with the webinar, and
moving the “free line” back by offering a ton of value up front
so that you can really get off on the right foot with your customers.
It’s a powerful trend and a game changer going into 2012.

Really it reminds me of the teleseminar explosion of the mid 2000s…
except it’s bigger, and you can deliver more value and close more
sales.

A few weeks ago I held my own training webinar that you
might have been on…but there were way too many people
who wrote me and said they missed out on this incredible
training. So to get started on the right track in 2012,
set aside an hour with me in the next couple days and grab
pen and paper to take notes while you’re viewing experiencing
the replay of this incredible free training program where you
get a peek behind the scenes of how your business and life will
be transformed for the better this year.

at yourself and make a change.” – Michael Jackson

Our family just got done watching “Elf” the Will Farrell movie
where he grows up in the North Pole but nobody tells him he’s
a human, not an elf.

When he finally decides to leave the North Pole to mix with the
humans he is obviously way out of his element, and definitely very
naïve to the ways of the world.

At one point in the movie, he remembers back in the old days
when somebody insulted him, and they called him a “cotton
headed ninny muggins”.

Not sure what that word means, but it sounds pretty mean for an elf.

This time of year a lot of people always talk about new years
resolutions, and I think that they’re ridiculous. If you’ve ever
been a “gym rat”, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Back in my gym rat days, I noticed in late December, you’re in the
gym working out and the place is practically empty. Everyone is
either fattening up on food or off on vacation somewhere.

Then the bell rings and January 1st comes along and the place is
packed. You’re waiting for machines, you’re waiting for a pad to
do some situps on…the list goes on.

This is just one example. But as far as I’m concerned, resolutions
are for ninny muggins.

Here’s why. A resolution doesn’t have any power behind it.
A resolution is almost like a passive “man, I wish I could
accomplish that…sigh.”

The proof of this is in the pudding – how many people do you know
who actually kept their resolutions? That’s what I thought.

That’s why the gym is empty come next December.

So I say toss out the resolutions. Be done with the way of the
ninny muggins.

Set GOALS.

Real Goals. Something that you can measure and that can excite
and charge you up.

Be careful to make them realistic. But don’t be afraid to stretch
either.

Goals excite you. Goals charge you up. Goals can be imported
into your brain as future memories so that you are moving towards
them even when you sleep.

Goals are truly powerful and are what seperates champions from also
rans. Resolutions are for the ninny muggins of the world.

Goals are for the winners, and that’s why you’re here.

Be a winner in 2012. This will get you there faster:
http://wallythewebguy.com/coaching/

Reach for the top,
-Wally

PS – The fastest way to be a champion in 2012 is to set a powerful
goal and then get moving towards your goal. When you surround
yourself with positive, expert support you get there much faster:
http://wallythewebguy.com/coaching/

PPS – The reason why champion athletes have personal trainers
is because they achieve more faster and then they win big.
If you’re serious about knocking 2012 out of the park then
this is for you:

Last weekend I headed up to Aspen, Colorado to join some friends
of mine in a ski trip to celebrate, well, our existence!

Now that I’m back and wrapping things up in the office, I looked
up at my vision board and saw a reminder that I placed on there a
couple years ago. It says, “Nature always balances.”

I always enjoy the chance to go out into nature and slow things down. Especially this time of year, when nature itself is slowing everything down…even though if you’re not careful, those around you will try and speed everything up.

It’s important to take some time and get in touch with the natural
rhythm of things. After all, this is a time of year for reflection,
for turning inward, and for giving thanks. It’s also a time when
things get balanced out again.

The winter solstice is the day with the least amount of light
(in our northern hemisphere) and it represents a day of closure,
and then of rebirth.

That’s really when next year begins…when the days start getting
longer.

So as things are winding down for the year, I encourage you to
look back on 2011, and list off your lessons learned, your goals
accomplished, and pat yourself on the back.

And then do an honest assessment of some goals that you didn’t
accomplish, and some things that you missed the mark on.

Finally, set some strong goals and intentions for 2012.

This is a time for reflection and then rebirth into the next year.

I look forward to helping YOU grow in 2012.

This morning I was out in the cold walking the dog, and as we were
headed home, a large trash truck was barreling down the road
backwards with a guy on the back guiding the driver to ensure
that he didn’t hit anything.

For some reason, it triggered a memory that I had of being a
little boy – maybe five years old, and watching the trash man
do his dirty work while sitting on the front step of our house.

After watching the guy come and go only once a week for a few weeks,
I turned to my mother and said confidently, “When I grow up, I want
to be a trash man.”

“Why?” She asked.

“Because they only work once a week!”

As far as I knew, the trash man came once a week and that was the
only day of the week he worked. He made it look easy and I thought
that I wanted to be that guy.

Little did I know about the other 4 days of the week that he was
working, or how the trash man had to make up his holiday hours
and come home smelly and filthy.

All I knew was what little I saw from the front porch.

That’s how it works a lot of times. The really good ones make it
look easy.

The guys who have spent years behind the scenes, putting in their
practice reps, investing in their education, investing in their
business to grow – by the time you come across them you think,
“Man, that looks easy as can be. I want to do that too…”

And thinking that way can be a trap. There really is no way to
get to the top of your game without investing time, energy and
resources into becoming better.

Investing in your own growth is the most important investment
you’ll ever make.

As we begin to finish up 2011, it’s important to start thinking
about how you’d like to grow in 2012.

Once you define where you’re headed, it’s easy to take the right
action. That’s what smart entrepreneurs like you have done when

Right now I’m hanging out with some friends of mine in beautiful
Aspen, Colorado, as part of their annual ski trip. It reminds me
of a story…

A couple of years ago I took the family – my wife and my dog at
the time – on a road trip into a beautiful Colorado valley.

It was lined by 13,000 foot peaks, climbing way above timberline.

It was quite a sight.

The bald mountain peaks as far as the eye could see, a green,
lush valley that we were travelling in, and over on the right
hand side, as we drove, the best surpirse of all. A ski area!

But this wasn’t just any ski area. This was a ski area that my
wife and I – both avid skiers – had never heard of before.
And this suprised us, because we thought we knew where all the
ski areas in Colorado were.

We started to rack our brains.

“Have you ever heard of a ski area around here?”

“It looks pretty new. It’s not overgrown with trees. What is
going on here?”

As we hung out in the valley, and got to know the area a little bit,
we started to learn a few things.

First, it was definitely an area that got a lot of snow each year.

So that wasn’t the reason we’d never heard of this place.

Second, the ski area was sitting on national forest land.
Just like most other ski areas. So that wasn’t why we had never
heard of this place.

No, there had to be another reason.

We searched further, and looked on the map. We started to find
some clues.

First of all, there was an abandoned airport in this valley.
Aah – maybe that has something to do with it. Nobody is flying
into this area.

Next, there wasn’t a major highway, or town, anywhere near by.

There’s another big clue.

Finally, this area existed a part of Colorado that didn’t have
very much population.

Now we got it. Have you ever heard of a place called
“Ski Conquistador”?

When it was open, it barely lasted for 10 years.

Avid skiers have never heard of it.

But it looks to be a fine mountain.

So what is the problem?

I can think of another ski area that fits the same description.

It sits in a beautiful Colorado valley, on national forest land.
It gets a lot of snow, and is nestled among 13,000 foot peaks.
You may have heard of it. It’s name? Aspen.

So what made the difference between these two places? One is
known worldwide as a skiers mecca, and the other is lost amongst
the overgrown trees.

There is one BIG difference: Aspen has traffic coming to it,
over and over again, and Conquistador has NONE.

Let me ask you something. Is your website more like Aspen,
or more like Ski Conquistador?

If you don’t have a traffic driving strategy in place to get
them to your site, and a follow up strategy to keep them coming back,
I’m willing to bet – you’re more like Ski Conquistador.

Ouch.

I sincerely want you to succeed, and become the Aspen of the Internet.

There’s no reason to put that great website invesment to waste,
where nobody is seeing it. It’s easy to become the “Aspen of the
Internet”, and make sure you’re seen by those who will buy from you.

Here’s how:

Yesterday I got a panicked phone call from my brother. Well,
actually I got about three panicked phone calls from him before
I had a chance to pick up the phone, and he had a good reason
to panic.

He did what millions of people do every day. He logged into his
Wordpress website, looked around, and hit the update button.

No big deal, right? Wrong.

Before he could say “update” the entire website went missing.

Nowhere to be seen. Years of hard work gone forever at the click
of a button. If you’ve ever experienced this for yourself, you
know the feeling.

(Above: Freaking Out Because He Just Lost His Wordpress Website To An Update)

First there’s the feeling like the pit of your stomach just fell out.
Then there’s the surge of heat up your spine as your adrenaline
kicks in. Then the shortness of breath. Then the panic of
racing thoughts and serious freak out mode.

Not fun. This is the stuff of heart attacks and definitely not
worth going through.

We were able to get the problem solved, and once his heart beat
was back to normal and his calm breathing had returned, I told
him about some software created by my friend Robert that provides
an easy way that this could have all been prevented with Backup Creator.

I don’t want you to lose out on years of hard work, especially
when it can be prevented with a few clicks of a button.

One thing I like about all of Robert’s software is the quality
of the support and the updates, so if there ever are any changes
of Wordpress that affect the functionality of BackUp Creator,
I know he’ll get these fixed and keep us all informed about
what’s happening.

Don’t find yourself hitting the panic button like my brother did.
That’s not fun for anybody. Instead, grab this easy to use software,
Backup Creator.

Reach for the top,
-Wally

PS – Beginning in 2012 select members of Wally’s Web Stars are
getting their website backups handled for them each month, without
them having to lift a finger. This is the exact software that I use
in my own business, every day.

PPS – Now you can use the exact same software that I use to make
sure your Wordpress site is backed up, click here.
